The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regard to the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated status sassa Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is more info to reach-out to the higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The company issue created for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
